The VX Compact is at its most interesting in Warzone when you stop asking it to behave like a long-range primary and instead build around the fights it actually wants. This setup leans heavily into aggressive close-to-mid-range combat, combining suppression, extra ammunition, improved reach, and reliable target acquisition without turning the weapon into something cumbersome.
What stands out here is the balance. The 13" Promontory Barrel and VAS 5.56 Suppressor give the VX Compact a more composed profile beyond point-blank distance, while the Fang HoverPoint ELO keeps the sight picture clean when targets start strafing through doorways or cutting across cover. Add a larger magazine and FMJ ammunition, and you have a weapon designed for sustained pressure rather than a quick kill followed immediately by a reload.
This configuration is built for players who want the VX Compact to remain dangerous during hectic squad fights while giving it enough flexibility to handle engagements that stretch slightly beyond traditional close-range territory.

The VAS 5.56 Suppressor and 13" Promontory Barrel form the backbone of the build. Rather than chasing maximum mobility at all costs, this combination gives the VX Compact a more useful combat envelope while retaining the suppressed profile that is particularly valuable when rotating through occupied areas or picking apart a squad without broadcasting every engagement quite as obviously.
The Fang HoverPoint ELO complements that approach nicely. Close-range optics can be easy to dismiss on weapons that are already intended for aggressive play, but a clean sight picture becomes increasingly useful once a fight moves beyond the same room. Tracking a player sprinting between pieces of cover or repeatedly shoulder-peeking a rooftop angle is much more comfortable when the target is not being obscured by a busy sight picture.
Then there is the Acclivity Extended Mag II, arguably one of the attachments that changes how confidently this setup can be used. Warzone rarely gives you perfectly isolated one-on-one fights. A downed opponent can immediately become a second target, and that second target can turn into a third before there is a safe opportunity to reload. The extended magazine provides breathing room in precisely those messy engagements.
Finally, 5.7X28mm FMJ adds another layer of practicality. It fits a build intended to maintain pressure on enemies using cover rather than relying purely on raw close-range aggression. Taken together, these five attachments produce a VX Compact that feels focused without becoming one-dimensional: suppressed, well supplied with ammunition, easy to track with, and better prepared for the unpredictable distances of a Warzone fight.
A cracked enemy disappearing behind a thin piece of cover is exactly the kind of situation where I wouldn't automatically sprint after them. With FMJ equipped and enough ammunition in the extended magazine, keeping pressure on that position can be the smarter move. Force the opponent to stay uncomfortable, watch for the teammate attempting to swing out, and only close the distance once the situation actually favors the push.
Inside buildings, I'd still treat the VX Compact as an aggressive weapon, but not as permission to blindly fly through every doorway. The Fang HoverPoint ELO gives you a very clean view when pre-aiming staircases, hallways, and door frames. If footsteps suggest two enemies are waiting upstairs, I'd rather hold the likely angle for a moment and make the first player walk into the reticle than burn tactical sprint charging into both.
The extended magazine becomes especially valuable in Resurgence. Imagine landing the first elimination in a cramped building only to hear another opponent immediately dropping from the roof. That is where having additional rounds changes the rhythm of the fight. Instead of automatically reaching for the reload, you can reposition a few metres, re-center the crosshair and stay ready for the trade attempt. I would still reload whenever genuine downtime appears, but I wouldn't develop the habit of reloading after every elimination.
There is also a limit to how much confidence the barrel and optic should give you. If someone is crossing a distant open field, I wouldn't suddenly treat the VX Compact like an assault rifle just because the target is visible. A few controlled shots against a vulnerable opponent are reasonable; committing to a prolonged ranged duel against a properly equipped primary is another matter. Use terrain to reduce the distance or switch to the weapon in your loadout that was actually chosen for that job.
Battle Royale rewards that restraint even more. During rotations, I'd use the suppressed setup to punish isolated players without turning every encounter into an extended firefight. If the opening burst doesn't produce enough damage and the enemy reaches strong cover, chasing them across exposed ground can erase every advantage the VX Compact offers. Sometimes the better play is simply to keep rotating and make them wonder whether you're still watching.
Squad pushes are different. Once teammates have created pressure from another angle, the VX Compact becomes much more threatening because you can work through rooms and short sightlines while opponents are forced to divide their attention. One habit I'd keep in mind is ammunition count after the second engagement, not just the first. An extended magazine encourages longer strings of fire, and it is surprisingly easy to enter the next room feeling fully prepared while carrying far fewer rounds than expected.
This VX Compact Warzone loadout gives the weapon a clear job without locking it into point-blank combat. The VAS 5.56 Suppressor and 13" Promontory Barrel broaden its usefulness, the Fang HoverPoint ELO provides a cleaner aiming experience, and the Acclivity Extended Mag II gives you the capacity needed for multi-enemy fights. The 5.7X28mm FMJ rounds round out the setup with additional utility when enemies attempt to use cover to escape pressure.
It is a build for controlled aggression rather than nonstop rushing. Keep fights inside the VX Compact's comfortable window, resist unnecessary long-range challenges, and use that larger magazine to stay involved when a supposedly simple gunfight suddenly turns into a full squad engagement.
