Cookies & Similar Identifiers

We and our providers use cookies and similar identifiers for:

• Essential: a session cookie to keep signed-in users authenticated, and a cookie remembering your light/dark theme choice. These are required for the site to work and do not need consent.
• Analytics: first-party identifiers set by our analytics providers to measure usage (see below).
• Advertising: cookies set by Google and its partners to serve and measure ads (see Advertising).
• Anonymous device identifier: a randomly generated value stored in your browser to record your meta-ranking votes. It cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Favorites: your favorited loadouts are stored only in your browser's localStorage and are never sent to our servers.

Analytics Providers

We use the following services to understand how the site is used:

• Vercel Speed Insights: aggregated, anonymized performance and usage data used to improve reliability.
• PostHog: product analytics hosted in the European Union and configured to create user profiles only for signed-in users ("identified only"). We use it to understand feature usage and improve the experience.

Account & Favorites Data

You can browse BestLoadout.com without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google to create or publish loadouts, we process:

• Google account details: your email address, display name, and profile picture, provided by Google when you sign in.
• Profile: the username you choose, stored in our database.
• Loadouts you submit: the builds you create are published publicly under your username.
• Push notifications: if you opt in, we store the browser push subscription needed to send you updates. You can turn this off at any time.
• Favorites: kept only in your browser'slocalStorage; this data never reaches our servers.

Advertising

We display advertising served by Ezoic and its advertising partners, including Google Ad Manager. These vendors may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which can be personalized based on your prior visits to this and other websites where permitted. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and review Ezoic's advertising partners and data practices for this site at Ezoic's privacy disclosures.

Data Sharing with Advertising Partners

When ads are enabled, Ezoic, Google, and their advertising partners may receive information such as your IP address, device and browser information, and cookie identifiers in order to serve and measure ads. Google's handling of this data is governed by its Privacy Policy, and you can review its advertising technologies and partners in How Google uses cookies in advertising. If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, ad personalization requires your consent, collected through Ezoic's certified consent management platform (an IAB TCF CMP). Other Third-Party Services

• Supabase: database and authentication hosting for accounts and loadout data
• Vercel: website hosting and performance analytics
• YouTube: embedded videos (when viewing loadouts with video guides)

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

• Clear favorites and the anonymous vote identifier at any time by clearing your browser's storage.
• Request access to, or deletion of, your account and associated data by emailing us (see Data Retention & Deletion).
• Withdraw or change advertising consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland) by clearing this site's cookies and reloading, which shows the consent prompt again (see the Cookie Policy).
• Opt out of personalized ads through Google Ads Settings.

Data Retention & Deletion

Favorites and the anonymous vote identifier live only in your browser and are removed when you clear your browser storage. Account data (your Google email, username, and submitted loadouts) and any push subscription are retained while your account is active. To delete your account and associated data, email us at contact@bestloadout.com and we will remove it. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to each provider's policy, including Vercel, PostHog, and Google.
