The VX Compact is built for players who want to keep fights moving. It has the speed and close-range aggression expected from a compact weapon, but the right setup can give it enough control to remain dangerous once an enemy creates some distance. Rather than pushing the gun entirely toward point-blank combat, this Warzone build gives it a more balanced identity.
The combination of the 13" Promontory Barrel, LTI Stentorian Brake, Fang HoverPoint ELO, 5.7X28mm FMJ, and Inclination Extended magazine is aimed at making the VX Compact easier to trust during sustained engagements. You still want to play aggressively, but you are not forced to live exclusively inside stairwells and tiny rooms to get value from it.
This setup focuses on controllability, practical visibility and ammunition capacity while preserving the responsive character that makes the VX Compact appealing in the first place.

The biggest challenge with a weapon like the VX Compact is finding a useful middle ground. Lean too heavily into speed and the gun can become irritating once targets move beyond immediate close range. Stack too many control-oriented attachments and you risk taking away the quick handling that gives the weapon its purpose. This configuration tries to avoid both extremes.
The 13" Promontory Barrel and LTI Stentorian Brake form the foundation of the build. Their presence is especially valuable when you need to maintain pressure beyond the first few shots of a burst. Instead of treating the VX Compact like a weapon that only needs to survive frantic point-blank exchanges, the setup gives you a better platform for tracking enemies through longer sprays and correcting your aim when a target suddenly changes direction.
That becomes much more useful with the Fang HoverPoint ELO. A clean optic can make a noticeable difference on a compact weapon when fights become visually messy. Enemies sliding across doorways, disappearing behind rooftop cover or strafing around head glitches are easier to follow when the sight picture is not fighting for your attention. It also encourages more deliberate engagements at distances where relying purely on a basic sight picture can become uncomfortable.
The 5.7X28mm FMJ complements the aggressive nature of the setup by giving the ammunition slot a practical combat purpose, particularly when opponents are playing around penetrable cover. Meanwhile, Inclination Extended provides the extra magazine capacity that matters enormously once a fight involves more than one enemy. In Warzone, having enough rounds to finish a down and immediately transfer onto the teammate behind them can be the difference between controlling the engagement and being caught reloading.
Taken together, these attachments make the VX Compact less one-dimensional. It remains a weapon that rewards movement and pressure, but the build gives you enough stability and ammunition to stay committed when an encounter lasts longer than expected.
I’d treat this VX Compact as a weapon for creating momentum rather than blindly chasing it. Imagine cracking somebody as they retreat through a doorway. The temptation is to sprint straight after them, but that is exactly how you end up running into two teammates already holding the stairs. I’d use the weapon’s responsive character to take ground quickly, then slow down for the final few metres and pre-aim the angle they are likely to reappear from.
The extended magazine changes how confidently you can pressure squads. If two opponents cross between pieces of cover, I wouldn’t automatically stop firing after damaging the first one. There is more freedom to stay on the trigger, transition onto the second target and force both players into defensive positions. That can buy your squad several seconds to close the gap or take a better angle.
There is still a limit to how ambitious I’d get. If someone is comfortably holding me from a distant rooftop or across a wide stretch of open terrain, I’m not interested in turning the VX Compact into something it isn’t. I’d break line of sight, rotate through cover and look for a shorter engagement. A controlled build helps extend the weapon’s usefulness; it does not magically turn it into a long-range rifle.
Moving enemies are a more interesting case. The combination of the brake and clean Fang HoverPoint ELO gives you a setup that should feel far more comfortable when following lateral movement. If an opponent is sprinting across a street toward cover, I’d rather track the full movement than panic-fire a few rounds and immediately chase. Getting meaningful damage before they disappear can dictate the next ten seconds of the fight.
Resurgence naturally rewards that aggression because engagements arrive quickly and damaged squads often have little time to reset. I’d keep the VX Compact ready when moving between neighboring buildings, clearing upper floors or challenging players dropping back into the area. In Battle Royale, I’d be more selective. Longer rotations and exposed terrain create situations where a complementary weapon with greater reach becomes essential.
One habit I would avoid is reloading after every kill simply because there is a moment of silence. The Inclination Extended exists partly to remove that reflex. If you have enough ammunition remaining to deal with another opponent, listen for footsteps and check the immediate angles first. Warzone loves punishing unnecessary reloads, especially when the first enemy you eliminate has already told their squad exactly where you are.
And if an SMG-style opponent suddenly appears almost on top of you, forget about trying to manufacture the perfect sight picture. Commit to the fight or escape it. The VX Compact is at its best when your decisions are just as quick as the weapon.
This VX Compact Warzone loadout gives the weapon a useful blend of aggression and control without stripping away the qualities that make a compact gun appealing. The 13" Promontory Barrel and LTI Stentorian Brake help establish a more manageable firing platform, while the Fang HoverPoint ELO provides a cleaner view of fast-moving targets. 5.7X28mm FMJ adds utility, and Inclination Extended gives you the ammunition reserve needed for hectic squad fights.
It is not a build designed to challenge rifles across huge sightlines. Instead, it gives the VX Compact more breathing room inside the ranges where an aggressive secondary or close-to-mid-range weapon actually matters. Pair it with something capable of handling distant fights, choose your pushes carefully, and the VX Compact can become a nasty weapon to face once the fight starts collapsing into tighter spaces.
