The VMP is built for players who want to dictate the pace of close-quarters fights rather than wait for enemies to make the first move. Its rapid fire rate gives it excellent pressure potential, while its responsive handling makes it dangerous when clearing buildings, challenging around cover, or chasing a damaged opponent. The weapon can feel demanding when its recoil is left unchecked, however, particularly once a target moves beyond comfortable SMG distance.
This Warzone build addresses that weakness without stripping away the VMP’s aggressive identity. Recoil control and firing stability take priority, but the setup also provides enough ammunition to survive extended engagements. It suits a mobile entry-fragger who likes to stay close to teammates, force uncomfortable fights, and overwhelm opponents before they can reset their armor.
This configuration turns the VMP into a more composed close-to-mid-range weapon. Four attachments work together to control its speed and recoil, while the larger magazine gives you considerably more freedom when pressuring squads.
| Attachment Slot | Selected Attachment |
|---|---|
| Barrel | 14.6" Nocturnal-VI Barrel |
| Muzzle | LTI Stentorian Brake |
| Underbarrel | Sapper Guard Handstop |
| Rear Grip | MFS Tactical Command Grip |
| Magazine | Dapple Capacity Mag |
The 14.6" Nocturnal-VI Barrel gives the build a stronger foundation for engagements that extend beyond point-blank range. The VMP already produces damage quickly, so improving its effective reach and projectile performance is more useful than pushing its fire rate or close-range speed even further. Enemies crossing streets, moving between rooftop cover, or retreating across an open courtyard become easier to track and finish.
Recoil management comes from the combined influence of the LTI Stentorian Brake, Sapper Guard Handstop, and MFS Tactical Command Grip. Rather than relying on a single attachment to correct one aspect of the firing pattern, this trio makes the weapon behave more consistently throughout a sustained burst. The muzzle helps suppress the initial climb, while the underbarrel and rear grip provide the stability needed to remain centered on a moving target. That matters with a high-rate-of-fire SMG: even a small amount of unnecessary drift can waste several rounds before the player has time to correct it.
The setup does sacrifice some of the extreme mobility associated with lighter VMP configurations. Nevertheless, it remains quick enough for aggressive Warzone play, and the extra control is noticeable when aiming down sights around doorways or challenging opponents from the opposite side of a room. It feels less erratic without turning into a slow, oversized primary weapon.
Completing the build, the Dapple Capacity Mag gives the VMP the ammunition reserve it needs during squad encounters. Its fire rate can empty a smaller magazine alarmingly quickly, especially when an enemy begins strafing or sliding between pieces of cover. The increased capacity offers room to correct missed shots, break armor, and immediately transfer onto another opponent. That added margin is valuable when reloading would otherwise surrender all the pressure created by the first knock.
A cracked opponent disappearing behind a doorway is exactly the kind of situation where I would trust this VMP. I’d close the distance quickly, but I wouldn’t sprint blindly through the same entrance they just used. The better option is often to cut around the building, reach a second opening, and catch them while they are plating or watching the original angle. The magazine capacity supports that push because there should still be enough ammunition available if a teammate appears beside them.
When a full squad attacks a building, I’d use the VMP from just behind the first line of cover. Pre-aiming the staircase or hallway is usually more reliable than attempting a dramatic slide directly into three guns. The improved recoil behavior lets you hold a narrow angle and continue firing as enemies trade places. If the first target falls, resist the urge to reload automatically; the Dapple Capacity Mag may leave enough rounds to punish the next player trying to recover the knock.
The build also handles moving enemies better than a lightweight hip-fire setup. If someone is crossing a courtyard or running between vehicles, I’d aim for the upper torso and allow the recoil to rise naturally rather than dragging the reticle downward too aggressively. Controlled bursts are sensible near the edge of the VMP’s effective range, although breaking the trigger constantly wastes its greatest advantage. The weapon is supposed to apply fast, sustained pressure.
Open rotations are where I would become far more selective. The VMP can contest short stretches of exposed ground, but it should not be treated like an assault rifle simply because this configuration is stable. Challenging a rooftop player across a wide road is rarely worth it. Smoke, rotate through a lower route, or switch to a ranged secondary. Staying alive long enough to bring the VMP into the next interior fight is more valuable than dealing a little armor damage from an unfavorable position.
In Resurgence, I’d lean into the weapon’s ability to maintain momentum. After securing a knock, move to a nearby piece of cover and anticipate the teammate arriving for the trade. Constant repositioning makes it harder for opponents to stack the same doorway against you. Battle Royale rewards slightly more patience: preserve ammunition, avoid chasing enemies too far from the squad, and reload whenever the area is genuinely secure.
One habit matters more than it appears—watch the counter after every extended burst. The larger magazine can create false confidence, and the VMP consumes rounds faster than the display suggests during a chaotic fight. Going into the next room with half a magazine may be enough for one enemy, but it becomes a serious gamble when two sets of footsteps are approaching.
This VMP loadout offers a smart balance between aggression and control. The Nocturnal-VI Barrel extends its usefulness, the three handling attachments settle its rapid firing pattern, and the Dapple Capacity Mag provides the endurance required for multi-enemy engagements. It remains an assertive SMG, but one that feels far more dependable when a fight moves beyond the first doorway.
Bring it alongside a capable long-range weapon, stay disciplined during exposed rotations, and let the VMP take over once the battle compresses around buildings and tight cover.
