The M4's flexibility makes it a natural choice for players who want to contest different areas of the map without constantly changing weapons. In Modern Warfare 4 Season 1, content creator Frizzeyes has shared a five-attachment setup that combines recoil management, responsive handling, and ammunition designed to make it harder for wounded enemies to escape.
Rather than focusing entirely on long-range accuracy or maximum movement speed, this configuration takes a more balanced approach. The interesting addition is Hollow Point ammunition, which gives the rifle a useful advantage when applying pressure to opponents who retreat behind cover.
Here is the complete M4 configuration shared by Frizzeyes:
| Attachment | Name |
|---|---|
| Stock | Demo Dozer Stock |
| Rear Grip | Brace DX Grip |
| Muzzle | TZL-110 V1 |
| Underbarrel | FSS Fireline Grip |
| Fire Mods | 5.56 NATO Hollow Point |
The setup uses all five attachment slots without adding an optic, extended magazine, or alternative barrel. That decision leaves more room for improving the weapon's handling characteristics and changing how it performs during consecutive engagements.
The Demo Dozer Stock plays an important role in keeping this M4 responsive. Its handling benefits help offset some of the slower aiming characteristics associated with stability-focused attachments, although the stock introduces a recoil-control compromise of its own.
That is where the Brace DX Grip and FSS Fireline Grip become particularly relevant. Both contribute to reducing recoil and weapon movement during sustained fire, helping the rifle remain manageable when players need to keep multiple shots on target.
There is a trade-off. These grips are not designed purely around maximum ADS speed, so the configuration does not behave like a dedicated close-quarters mobility build.
The TZL-110 V1 adds another layer of recoil control while functioning as a flash hider. It is a sensible addition for players who want a clearer view of their target during repeated shots, without committing to a heavier muzzle attachment.
Together, these components create a rifle that appears particularly suited to controlled, mid-range engagements, where predictable weapon behaviour can matter more than outright movement speed.
The most distinctive choice in Frizzeyes' configuration is the 5.56 NATO Hollow Point ammunition.
According to Call of Duty's official Modern Warfare 4 guide, Hollow Point rounds delay enemy healing and cause critically injured opponents to leave a blood trail.
That changes the tactical value of landing shots even when an opponent manages to escape the initial exchange.
For example, an enemy retreating behind a doorway cannot immediately recover as comfortably as they otherwise might. The delayed healing creates an opportunity to maintain pressure, reposition, or coordinate a follow-up push.
However, Hollow Point ammunition should not be confused with a direct damage upgrade. Its value comes from disrupting recovery and helping track vulnerable enemies, rather than automatically reducing the number of bullets required to secure a kill.
This distinction is important when deciding whether the ammunition slot is worth sacrificing another attachment.
Frizzeyes' M4 configuration makes the most sense when approaching fights deliberately rather than relying exclusively on aggressive rushing.
Holding medium-range angles allows the recoil-focused attachments to contribute without demanding the extreme precision associated with longer-range rifle builds. The weapon should also remain sufficiently responsive for players rotating between objectives or repositioning after an elimination.
Hollow Point ammunition adds another consideration: damaging an opponent can create a follow-up opportunity even when the initial engagement does not result in a kill.
Still, the build has limitations. Without an extended magazine, players must manage ammunition carefully during consecutive fights. The absence of an optic also means relying on the M4's standard sights, which may not suit everyone when challenging smaller targets at distance.
Players who primarily fight at point-blank range may prefer a configuration focused more heavily on sprint-to-fire speed and mobility.
For those who favour a measured approach, however, the combination of controlled recoil and healing disruption gives this M4 a distinct tactical identity.
The main advantage is not simply winning the first exchange. It is making the next engagement more difficult for an opponent who has already taken damage.
