Modern Warfare 4 Campaign Early Access Is Live! Here's How to Play All 16 Missions Now
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's campaign is now available ahead of launch, featuring 16 missions. Here's who can play early, how to get access, and when the full game releases.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's Campaign Early Access begins on October 16, 2026, giving players who digitally pre-ordered the game a full week to experience its single-player story before the worldwide launch on October 23.
Unlike a traditional beta or limited campaign preview, this early-access period includes the complete story. According to Activision's official announcement, players who purchased an eligible digital edition can jump into the campaign without waiting for the rest of the game to launch.
The timing also gives campaign-focused players an opportunity to finish the story before Multiplayer and the new DMZ extraction mode become available.
Modern Warfare 4 campaign features 16 missions
According to CharlieIntel, the Modern Warfare 4 campaign features 16 missions, offering a substantial collection of story chapters for players to explore.
However, the mission count alone does not establish how long the campaign takes to complete. Mission length, difficulty settings and individual playstyles can all influence the overall experience.
Infinity Ward's new campaign follows two connected conflicts.
On the Korean Peninsula, players step into the role of Private Park, a young South Korean soldier whose first experience of combat quickly becomes a struggle for survival following a full-scale North Korean invasion.
Meanwhile, Captain Price is operating outside the military system he once served. His pursuit of revenge draws him into a dangerous conflict involving a weapon capable of shifting the global balance of power.
The campaign promises a mixture of large-scale military engagements and covert operations, with confirmed locations including South Korea, New York, Paris and Mumbai.
For returning Modern Warfare players, the story also continues the consequences of previous events, particularly Price's increasingly complicated position following the assassination of General Shepherd.
