Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Early Access Is Almost Here!
DMZ Early Access kicks off October 20, and players have more than just an early look to gain. Activision has confirmed a major progression benefit ahead of Modern Warfare 4's full launch.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's DMZ Early Access is almost here, and Activision has confirmed exactly when players can jump into the extraction mode, along with an important update that needs to be installed before launch.
According to an official announcement from Call of Duty Updates, DMZ Early Access will launch globally on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 10 AM PT, giving eligible players three days to explore the mode before Modern Warfare 4's full release on October 23.
There's another reason to get started early: XP, Weapon XP, and weapon camo progression earned during this period will contribute to the full game's progression systems.
Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Early Access update arrives October 19
Before DMZ becomes playable, a required update will be made available across all supported platforms by 9 AM PT on Monday, October 19.
That gives players roughly 25 hours between the update's scheduled availability deadline and the official Early Access launch.
Activision has not specified the update's download size in its announcement, so players should check their platform for the required files ahead of Tuesday's opening.
The confirmed global launch times are:
- Pacific Time (PT): October 20 at 10 AM
- Eastern Time (ET): October 20 at 1 PM
- British Summer Time (BST): October 20 at 6 PM
- Central European Summer Time (CEST): October 20 at 7 PM
- Japan Standard Time (JST): October 21 at 2 AM
- Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT): October 21 at 4 AM
Unlike a regional midnight rollout, DMZ Early Access will become available simultaneously worldwide.
