Warzone Season 1 lets players purchase a Tactical Nuke for $1 million in Rally Point. Here's how the new mechanic works and what rewards you can unlock.
Warzone Season 1 introduces a new way to launch a Tactical Nuke: instead of completing the traditional Champion's Quest, players can purchase one for $1,000,000 in-game Cash in the new Rally Point mode.
The feature arrives alongside Modern Warfare 4's integration into Warzone on November 6, 2026. More importantly, it introduces an alternative objective built around accumulating Cash rather than surviving until the final circle.
Raven Software confirmed the purchasable Nuke in its official Season 1 patch notes, while launch-day gameplay reports have established the million-dollar price.
How the $1 Million Nuke Works in Warzone
The Tactical Nuke is exclusive to Rally Point, a new mode played on the Zodiac map.
Unlike the usual Battle Royale experience, obtaining this Nuke doesn't involve completing Champion's Quest objectives. Instead, squads must earn enough Cash to purchase it directly from a Buy Station.
There are three important conditions:
Price: $1,000,000 in in-game Cash.
Availability: Only one Nuke can be purchased per match.
Purchase priority: The Nuke is sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once a squad purchases the Nuke, a countdown begins before the match concludes with a cinematic evacuation sequence and the destruction of the map.
The limited availability creates an unusual competitive objective. Players aren't simply trying to survive longer than everyone else. They're potentially racing other squads to accumulate enough Cash before someone else claims the Nuke.
Crucially, this mechanic is specific to Rally Point. It doesn't mean players can now purchase a Tactical Nuke in standard Battle Royale or regular Resurgence matches.
Why Rally Point Makes the Nuke Possible
Rally Point has been designed as a more flexible Warzone experience, with several fundamental differences from conventional Battle Royale.
The mode takes place on Zodiac, supports up to 20 players and removes the shrinking Gas Circle entirely.
It also features unlimited Resurgence and drop-in/drop-out functionality, allowing players to join, leave and redeploy without the usual pressure of permanent elimination.
These mechanics are particularly important when considering the Nuke's enormous price.
Without a collapsing circle forcing the match toward its conclusion, players have more freedom to explore the map, complete objectives and accumulate Cash over an extended session.
The Tactical Nuke effectively provides an optional endpoint for a mode that otherwise encourages continued exploration and combat.
How to Earn Cash Towards the Nuke
Rally Point offers several ways to build up Cash reserves.
Players can complete Contracts, eliminate Hostile Soldiers and participate in activities across Zodiac.
The map also features special encounters involving Hostile Choppers, Bombing Drones, JLTV Deliveries and Elite Hostile reinforcements.
Another important mechanic is the introduction of Neutral Grounds, designated ceasefire areas containing several useful stations.
These include:
Payout Stations: Collect Cash based on your current high score.
Loadout Stations: Change your equipped loadout.
Redeploy Stations: Immediately travel to another location.
Squad Formation: Join other players and form squads of up to four members during a session.
For players pursuing the Nuke, Payout Stations are especially relevant because they provide a documented way to convert high-score progress into Cash.
Squad coordination also matters. Raven Software specifically encourages teammates to work together to accumulate the money required for the purchase.
However, the developers haven't published an optimal Cash-farming route or a guaranteed completion time. The most effective approach will depend on the available objectives, player activity and the opportunities encountered during a session.
Does the Rally Point Nuke Unlock Any Rewards?
Rally Point includes exclusive progression rewards beyond the Nuke itself.
According to the official patch notes, players can earn one exclusive Weapon Blueprint and two Weapon Camos through the mode.
There is also a specific Nuke-related reward reported by players.
As documented by Windows Central, gameplay footage from creator Incredilags shows the "Perfect End" HAN-86 Weapon Blueprint being awarded for successfully completing the Nuke challenge.
This gives players an additional incentive to attempt the million-dollar purchase rather than treating it purely as an alternative way to conclude a session.
A Different Kind of Warzone Nuke
Warzone veterans will recognise the Tactical Nuke from previous iterations of the game, where it has traditionally been associated with Champion's Quest.
Rally Point changes the requirements without making the reward automatically accessible.
A million-dollar purchase still demands considerable progress, and the restriction of one Nuke per match means another squad can reach the objective first.
The result is a distinctive challenge within Season 1: a mode where players can concentrate on learning Warzone's systems, experimenting with loadouts and completing objectives, while pursuing a shared financial target.
For players interested in attempting the Nuke, the key distinction is straightforward: Rally Point rewards Cash accumulation and coordination, not the conventional Battle Royale requirement of being the last squad standing.
