Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Is Packed With Surprises!
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 launches November 6 with new multiplayer maps, the mysterious DMZ X01 facility, fresh weapons, and major Warzone additions. Here's what's coming!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 is officially set to launch on November 6, 2026, bringing three multiplayer maps at launch, a major expansion to DMZ, new weapons, additional game modes, and full integration with Warzone.
Activision and Infinity Ward revealed the roadmap on October 28, confirming that Season 1 will go live at 12:00 AM ET on November 6 (9:00 PM PT on November 5) across all supported platforms.
According to the official Call of Duty Season 1 announcement, the update introduces two entirely new 6v6 maps, a redesigned version of Shoot House, and the mysterious X01 facility for DMZ players.
Three Multiplayer Maps Arrive at Season 1 Launch
Modern Warfare 4's multiplayer map rotation is expanding with three locations available from the start of Season 1.
Backstab takes players into a snow-covered, war-torn town filled with damaged buildings, abandoned tanks, and elevated positions. Its combination of long streets and accessible interiors creates opportunities for both ranged engagements and close-quarters combat.
Canyon introduces a different battlefield, featuring towering rock formations, a river, winding cliffside routes, and a northern cave. Players will need to consider the map's verticality, with elevated positions overlooking several important pathways.
Shoot House returns with its familiar three-lane design, although its environment has been reimagined for Modern Warfare 4's North Korean setting. The Junkyard, central routes, and Containers remain central to the layout, offering returning players recognizable routes while introducing the game's updated movement mechanics.
Importantly, these are three launch maps, but only Backstab and Canyon are entirely new environments. Shoot House is a reimagining of an existing Call of Duty map.
More multiplayer content is planned for the mid-season Season 1 Reloaded update, including Ministry, Overflow, and additional locations that have yet to be fully revealed.
