Warzone Season 1 brings Rally Point, Massive Resurgence, and Loaded Resurgence, introducing unlimited respawns, 120-player battles, and instant custom loadouts. Here's what makes each mode different.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 arrives on November 6, 2026, bringing three new limited-time modes alongside the full integration of Modern Warfare 4. While Battle Royale and Resurgence remain the core experiences, the new playlists introduce different ways to explore maps, practise combat, and compete with custom loadouts.
Rally Point, Massive Resurgence, and Loaded Resurgence each offer a distinct experience, from a low-pressure training environment to large-scale battles and immediate access to your preferred weapons.
According to the official Call of Duty Season 1 announcement, all three modes are planned for launch, with two additional limited-time playlists scheduled for the Mid-Season update.
Rally Point: A New Way to Learn Warzone Without the Pressure
Map: Zodiac | Maximum Players: 20
Rally Point introduces a different approach to Warzone, removing several restrictions that normally define Battle Royale and Resurgence matches.
There is no closing gas circle, respawns are unlimited, and players can enter or leave an ongoing match through a drop-in/drop-out system.
Instead of concentrating exclusively on surviving until the final circle, players can explore Zodiac, complete contracts, eliminate hostile soldiers, and experiment with weapons, vehicles, and Killstreaks.
The mode also introduces several features:
Unlimited Resurgence: Eliminations do not permanently remove players from the experience.
No Closing Circle: Players can explore the map without the usual pressure of an approaching gas zone.
Dynamic Encounters: Hostile Choppers, JLTV Deliveries, and Elite Hostile Reinforcements provide additional challenges.
Neutral Grounds: Players can meet other Operators and form alliances of up to four players without leaving the match.
Exclusive Rewards: One weapon blueprint and two weapon camos are available to unlock.
Rally Point is particularly relevant for new and returning players who want to become familiar with Warzone's mechanics before entering more demanding matches.
However, its usefulness extends beyond beginners.
Experienced players can use the mode to explore Zodiac, become familiar with its routes, and practise using unfamiliar equipment without the interruption of a conventional match-ending elimination.
The absence of a closing circle also makes Rally Point fundamentally different from a standard Resurgence playlist. It offers opportunities to learn the environment, but it does not recreate the positioning pressure of a competitive endgame.
Massive Resurgence: 120 Players Battle Across Hajin
Map: Hajin | Maximum Players: 120
Massive Resurgence brings the familiar Resurgence mechanics to Hajin, the new large-scale Battle Royale map introduced with Modern Warfare 4's integration into Warzone.
With up to 120 players competing, this mode combines the larger environment of Battle Royale with the redeployment system associated with Resurgence.
Players can return to the battlefield while their surviving teammates keep the Resurgence countdown active. Contributing to eliminations also helps shorten that countdown.
Another important mechanic concerns eliminated enemy players.
When a player from an opposing squad is eliminated, the remaining enemy squad members are marked on the map.
This provides valuable information during engagements, allowing teams to identify surviving opponents and make more informed decisions about whether to pursue a fight or reposition.
Massive Resurgence retains the closing gas mechanic and the traditional objective of becoming the last surviving squad.
For players preparing to explore Hajin, the mode offers an alternative to conventional Battle Royale.
The ability to redeploy gives squads additional opportunities to discover different areas of the map, while the larger player count and closing gas still require awareness of positioning and enemy movements.
It is important to distinguish this from Rally Point: Massive Resurgence is still a competitive survival mode, and players cannot rely on unlimited redeployments without their squad meeting the relevant survival requirements.
Loaded Resurgence: Start With Your Custom Loadout
Maps: Zodiac / Rebirth Island | Maximum Players: 44
Loaded Resurgence changes one of Warzone's most familiar gameplay loops: acquiring your preferred weapons after landing.
Instead of searching for suitable ground loot or purchasing a Loadout Drop, players begin the match with their selected custom loadout.
Even after being eliminated and redeploying, they retain their equipped weapons.
This removes much of the weapon-acquisition process and allows players to concentrate immediately on combat.
However, Loaded Resurgence adds another progression mechanic.
Players earn additional Perks by contributing to eliminations, progressively working toward Specialist.
The mode therefore combines immediate access to preferred weapons with additional incentives to remain involved in engagements.
Its defining features include:
Custom Loadouts From Deployment: Start with your chosen weapons rather than relying on random ground loot.
Weapon Retention: Keep your equipped weapons after being eliminated and returning to the match.
Perk Progression: Earn Perks through contributions to eliminations.
Specialist Progression: Continue earning Perks to progress toward Specialist.
Resurgence Redeployment: Survive the countdown to help eliminated teammates return.
For players who enjoy experimenting with different weapon configurations, Loaded Resurgence offers an interesting environment.
Removing the need to repeatedly acquire a loadout means more opportunities to use a specific configuration throughout a match.
That does not automatically make the mode a reliable weapon-testing benchmark, since enemy equipment, positioning, and other match conditions can still influence combat results.
Nevertheless, it provides a more direct way to spend time using a preferred loadout than conventional Resurgence.
Which Warzone Season 1 Mode Should You Play?
Although all three modes use established Warzone mechanics, they serve different purposes.
Mode
Best Suited For
Main Difference
Rally Point
Beginners, returning players, and map exploration
No closing circle and unlimited respawns
Massive Resurgence
Squads seeking large-scale combat
120-player Resurgence on Hajin
Loaded Resurgence
Players focused on custom weapons and combat
Start with your loadout and earn additional Perks
Rally Point is the most accessible choice for learning the new environment and experimenting with gameplay systems.
Massive Resurgence offers a more traditional competitive experience, with the added complexity of a large map and up to 120 players.
Loaded Resurgence is particularly appealing to players who prefer fighting with their chosen weapons immediately rather than spending the early stages of a match searching for equipment.
The distinction matters because these playlists are not simply different versions of the same experience. Each removes, modifies, or expands a different part of the standard Warzone gameplay loop.
Two More Limited-Time Modes Are Coming Mid-Season
The November 6 launch is only the beginning of Warzone Season 1's playlist expansion.
Activision has also confirmed two additional limited-time modes for the Mid-Season update:
Rockets and Snipers
Extreme Resurgence
Both modes have been officially announced, but their complete rules, supported maps, and player counts have not yet been detailed.
Additional information is expected through the official Call of Duty Blog.
Meanwhile, the regular Battle Royale and Resurgence playlists will continue throughout Season 1, including their Casual variants.
Hajin and Zodiac will be available at launch, while Verdansk and Rebirth Island are scheduled to return later in the season.
This distinction is particularly important for players interested in Loaded Resurgence, which lists both Zodiac and Rebirth Island as supported maps. Rebirth Island's inclusion in the seasonal playlist plans does not mean the map will be available on November 6.
Warzone Season 1 begins on November 6, 2026, introducing the first three limited-time modes alongside the game's integration with Modern Warfare 4.
