Warzone Season 1 Is Getting TWO New Maps!
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 is bringing Hajin and Zodiac to Warzone, while Verdansk and Rebirth Island are staying. But the future of Avalon and Black Ops Royale remains uncertain.

Warzone is preparing for a major map expansion with the launch of Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 on November 6, 2026. Activision has confirmed that two new battlegrounds, Hajin and Zodiac, will arrive together, while Verdansk and Rebirth Island will remain part of the experience.
Rather than replacing its established maps outright, Warzone's next chapter will introduce new locations for both Battle Royale and Resurgence. The announcement gives players four confirmed maps to look forward to, although the exact playlist structure has not yet been revealed.
Hajin and Zodiac: Two New Maps for Warzone Season 1
The two additions serve different game modes, bringing fresh environments to Warzone's large-scale and faster-paced experiences.
Hajin will become the new Battle Royale destination, expanding a location already featured in Modern Warfare 4's Campaign and DMZ. Its introduction gives players another large-scale battleground alongside Verdansk, rather than immediately replacing the returning fan-favorite location.
Hajin's connection to DMZ is particularly interesting. Players familiar with that mode will recognize the setting, but the Battle Royale experience will introduce a different set of objectives and combat situations. Activision has not yet detailed the complete Battle Royale layout or confirmed its available playlists.
Zodiac, meanwhile, is coming to Resurgence, joining Rebirth Island in the Season 1 offering.
Unlike Hajin, Zodiac has already been playable. The map appeared during the Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta in August, giving players an early opportunity to explore its industrial environment.
Located in South Korea, Zodiac features a weapons manufacturing complex with ten distinct points of interest, including Old Mine, Solar and Trackline. Its interconnected spaces, different elevations and moving train create opportunities for varied engagements.
Importantly, the version arriving with Season 1 follows feedback gathered during the Beta. Infinity Ward's official Beta patch notes documented visibility adjustments, including reduced bloom and improved character outlines, while also identifying audio, movement and map pacing as areas requiring further refinement.
